I really want to play in some FPS 1v1 tournaments again and unfortunately I did not have this opportunity in the past year because of lacking of tournaments and schedule conflicts between the CGS and other events.
As soon as I got back from the US this August I started playing QuakeLive and I`m definitely enjoying it so far so I was just waiting for a big tournament to come up. Unfortunately I don’t know if this ESWC Masters in Athens will be Quake 3 CPMA or Quake Live already (related to ESWC`s previous news regarding ESWC finals and the possibility of Quake Live instead of Quake 3)."

ohhh a new post!!
thats right I wrote a new post.. after CGS finals I just wanted to take a break from everything,I hope everyone understands.
I`m in Italy for a few more weeks now before I go back to Los Angeles, spent some time with my family and partying with my friends over here and I had a great time; I`m back to work now and I really want to update you guys on everything at the right time.
Tonight Inter Milan plays vs Catania so I hope you guys wont miss the match and watch out for Quaresma!!

CGS World Final!!!!
Hello everyone,
I`m gonna start this blog by saying that I couldnt be more proud of every member of my team. It has been a long road to the finals and Monday is gonna be one of those matches that you are gonna remember forever.
I wanna thank all the people who supported and helped us to this point and I suggest everyone to tune in on DirectTV Monday because it`s gonna be a fantastic match.

...little update....
sorry for the late update,
been really busy lately with a team Bootcamp and the Championship Gaming Series.. Didnt have much time to be on my pc at all beside practicing and playing my official matches so hopefully by the end of next week I will have more time to write a blog and tell u guys what`s going on here...keep supporting me and my team on www.sfoptx.com as usual!
As for my website, it`s close to be done, I just had to wait a little bit more than expected but hopefully for the end of the month we`ll have something :)

back in Los Angeles
Buongiorno my friends,
you heard it right, I'm back in L.A.
Im coming out of a pretty rough week actually, since I had to get ready and leave for the US in only 3-4 days, so I haven’t been able to been on for quite awhile since I had to fix a few important things before leaving; I will be staying here in the US at least till August, maybe more, we'll see.
Right now I'm at Yaz's house (clown) and I got a really nice setup where I can practice without problems, unfortunately it wasn’t the case before my preseason match vs Kreegan which I was about to skip cuz of computers problems that didn’t let me play a single game for days till 1 hour before the actual match, but we decided to play anyway to scout some of my opponent strategies and playing style and I believe it was the right decision.
The San Francisco OPTX team is doing really well, We are up 3 wins to 0 in the preseason and I believe we'll be one of the top contender for this year - - props to all the players to put in the hours and consistency in their practice routines.
Yesterday night me and Clown drove down to CoinOP-TV where Yaz got interviewed by Rob and I have to say, it was a really cool/funny interview which should be up on our website soon.
My plans for this summer will be announced really soon, but as most of you guys know, I will be competing in the CGS and if everything goes as it should I will be at QuakeCon as well... after that, we'll see.. I'm still working on it and I'm waiting for answers.
My body is responding really well to the timezone change for once, I get hungry at the right times and I wake up around 9am every morning, so I feel good. I only went to the gym once this week but I plan on going today or tomorrow and start my usual schedule from next Monday again.
By the end of this month, finger crossed, I will have a really nice announcement to do and... www.stermy.com will be up - - been working on it for awhile and things look really good!

Great news for Gaming
Press Release Announced today:
With Eurosport now broadcasting CGS in Europe (finalmente anche in Italia!), Gaming will definately get a huge exposure in our continent and I'm really happy about it, since all the gamers from Europe will be able to follow all the actions from this year's Season.
"The Eurosport Group and Championship Gaming Series (CGS) announced today that Eurosport has signed a deal with BSkyB (Sky) that grants Eurosport the exclusive continental European broadcast rights for Championship Gaming Series, the only worldwide professional video gaming league.
Highlights from the inaugural 2007 series will be broadcast in primetime on Eurosport 2 April 28 – May 3, followed by the highly anticipated 2008 season later this year, bringing CGS programming to 41 nations in continental Europe for the first time, including France, Germany, Spain and Italy. Eurosport 2's broadcast footprint for CGS will complement Sky’s coverage in the UK and Ireland, DIRECTV’s coverage in the Americas, and STAR and ESPN STAR Sports broadcasts in Asia and Australia. March 2008, Happy Easter
What’s up my friends,
I just got back to Italy after a 20 hours + trip… but let’s start from the Combine.
I got to Austin march 5th, 2 days before the event just because I wanted to get used to the different time zone and practice in my hotel room; I arrived pretty late that day, my bag was lost so I decided to go to the hotel, setup my laptop and go to sleep… luckily, the day after my bag was already in my room and I decided to go to the gym in the morning and then start to practice.
First day was just registration so after waking up, me and moe man-ed up on breakfast and went to a Chinese restaurant next to the hotel and then we all registered at the convention center, the rest of the day was just practice time.
It was finally Saturday, the “big” day for everyone and all the OPTX players placed really well in their respective tournaments. I was really glad to see that my preparation for this year paid off, since I really put much effort into it by practicing 2 months straight for a lot of hours each day, and I knew that with a bit more time than last year, and more players to practice with, I could definitely be a top contender.
The draft was truly amazing and even though I was one of the protected players, I was still nervous and excited for the whole thing…in the end we got a really great team which is definitely capable of win this year’s Championship..I will really miss p0s,pham,skittles,dave and beisboll , they are all great players and good friends, I will never forget about you and I’m sure I will see you again really soon. I also want to welcome all the new players into the family, it’s going to be a great year.
On the last night most of us went to 6th street were we had a crazy fun night –
Memorable Moments:
• Grt was welcomed in the SF optx in a special way
• My 21st birthday drink
• I had to do 30 pushup because Jen said “mine” [nice joke moe/clown/jhonny]
• I saved Kat Hunter from 3 guys which were flirting with her.Or atleast I think so. we ARE jealous

Yeah, I finally got back to L.A and this was pretty much my vacation since forever; I stayed at Clown’s place the whole time and I really wanted to thank him and his amazing family for everything, I guess me and yaz are brothers for real now, I’m sorry we had to kick you out Moe.. I guess you were just not as pretty as us.
I probably had one of the craziest time of my life during these 10 days and I wanted to give a shout out to all my friends there (yeah Italy will be back soon) !

Monitor LG L246WH BN
Hi guys,
It's Sunday and I woke up pretty late... while I'm waiting for Inter Milan's match to start I decided to write a little blog about this monitor I bought last week, which I personally use combined to my lovely and best Iiyama HM903DT CRT.
As you can see, I mainly use it as a secondary monitor, for emails,work,chat and play some fun games at high resolutions,definately not for competitive FPS. Why? Because CRTs are still better for First Person Shooters, and even tho ghosting at native resolution (1920x1200) might be really low, I can still feel the delay (especially while moving the mouse).
Here's the list of specification:
- 24” Wide ColorTFT LCD 1920x1200 Resolution , Contract 2000:1
- TN Display, 5 ms
- Pivot
- HDMI,Componet,VGA, S-video

stermy blog #2
Hey there,
First of all I would like to thank all the people reading my blogs. Some of you asked me questions through this website or myspace/mail and I hope I have answered all of you.
Since last week update, I've been really busy as usual, practicing everyday and working on a few things ;) .. I've also started going to the gym again after a long time,because I want to do alot of sport while I train for keep myself in shape.
Beside all these things, I think I will be ready to give you guys a "really good update" of what's going on with me really soon, hopefully with a special addon to it; I'm waiting just because I always want to be sure things are ok and everything will be allright.
I'm gonna go get ready!

2008, #1 blog ? :)
Hello guys,
I hope all of you had a great Christmas and New year eve. I spent xmas with my family and then went snowboarding for New Year eve with my friends in Cortina, a really cool place in Italy.
Anyway, since I turned 21 on the 2nd January and trevor (p0s) just bought a new car for me, (see his blog for more infos at www.sfoptx.com), I cant wait to come back in the US and have a late bday party with the optx and also all my friends there, hopefully without a skateboard rescue ;)! (inside joke)
By the way,I dont know if you guys saw the news posted by Kat Hunter, but right after the CGS season finished, I did a Promotional Tour around the US for about 2 months, and right after that another Tour in Europe, which pretty much finished before the Holidays...so right now I'm totally back in business, practicing everyday in my training center in Italy.
I have different ideas for keep you guys update on what's going on with me so keep checkin my blogs for futher infos!
For now, here is a little present: my Quake4 1.4.2 config.

I'll also upload most of my FPS games config later on (quake3 OSP and CPMA, Painkiller, UT3 , etc).
